Project Climate Migrants

Strategic Foresight & Innovation Project , OCAD University, Toronto

This project was developed as a deliverable for the Business & Design Thinking course within the Strategic Foresight and Innovation Master’s Program at OCAD University. It focuses on raising awareness about climate migrants by developing a fictional non-profit organization,a public awareness campaign, an informative website, and a policy proposal guidebook.

Our mission is to expand protections for those affected by climate change, educate the public, and provide actionable policy recommendations on climate migration to the Government of Canada. We advocate for a human rights-based approach, emphasizing the right to a healthy environment as a fundamental human right in Canada. Additionally, we engage directly with climate migrants—both those resettling in Canada and those displaced within the country—connecting them with essential resources and services.
