#MoreToAutism Awareness Campaign, Momentum Egypt, 2017
#MoreToAutism's aim is to shed light on the hidden talents of children with autism, starting a more in depth conversation about Autism in Egyptian society, and emphasizing the need to reverse the stereotypes given to those children with Autism. This invites a more inclusive approach to those children, while showing that many of them have gifts and talents of benefit to society. The branding of the campaign was inspired from Autism's official symbol, the puzzle piece, and the idea of starting that conversation in society (being translated onto a speech bubble drawn by a child).
The campaign launched in 2017 and created success that inspired huge social media support from the community, and public endorsements from many local celebreties and influencers. In support of the Momentum’s “More to Autism” campaign for the EAS, 12 prominent buildings and monuments in Egypt lit up in blue for the occasion and an awareness event was held at the Fairmont Nile City hotel on April 2nd: the official world Autism day.
